Ten criteria that decide deals: opening from the client's situation, naming their problem, showing value before price, scope framed as a path, price options with a recommendation, a reason next to the number, objections handled, one clear next step, specificity, and readability. Each gets a 0–10 score with a quote from your text as evidence.

Above 85 is genuinely strong. 55–70 is where most first drafts land — usually losing points on value-before-price and specificity. Below 40 means the proposal is a scope list with a number at the end.
